In this video I hang out with James Cruise from Power Vehicles, where he maintains roughly 300 customer drift cars and somehow keeps them on track. If you don’t have enough time to watch the entire video, a lot of his success comes from picking the easiest and most reliable drift cars to keep on track, the JZX90 and JZX100. Keep everything as Toyota as possible. And try not to lose your mind lol!

Y’all may be burnt out on drifting, what about focusing on guiding the future of drifting. You know what’s good and bad for drifting. I think y’all are doing a job leading already. Media definitely helps
TURN EBISU INTO A FORZA HORIZON TYPE FESTIVAL!!!!
What are those gold wheels!?!?!!
Just on the cars falling apart .. so has he got a jzx that’s been there as long as a Nissan chassis. I just think that the Nissan chassis have been used for drifting a lot longer even in japan as they were alt cheaper way back when they were drifting the mountain roads there.be interesting to try find a couple of the first Toyota and Nissan chassis to turn up to ebisu and put the, up on the hoist an see what they are like.
Another great conversation Aaron! Thanks.
Quality yarn 🤙
Drifting with the homies is whatever you all slash tires and go for beers afterwards, competition is cut throat and everyone is angry, I get the point of no winners in your event.
You really expose drift culture from behind the scenes with videos like that. I can't afford a drift car yet, nor to travel around to experience in person, but love your videos to know what is going on in drift scene, keep up
Welp.. This video just changed my life.
nice vid bro 🙂
Great listening in on this conversation
i cant buy merch from whatmonstersdo since most of the stuff is sold out 🙁 can anyone explain to me when do they restock or smth like this?
If you like to have a chasing time in the track and want same excitement as a Drifting the obvious answer would be Rallycross or Rallying lol
He mentioned a couple times about not wanting or allowing “locked” diffs. Guessing he is talking about welded… any idea why he’s so against them? A proper 2 way is like $1000+ and seems like the money could be spent elsewhere on the car better.
Sorry for my loud ass car disturbing your inteview for a few minutes lol
i got my dreamcar about 2 years ago. I have gone thru 4 s shassis and my jzx90 chaser is way more fun to work on and drive. Im keen to know if they stock parts there. i did se a video with aloooot of rear jzx subframes. thinking like engines/ transmissions. Would be a cool walk around just to se for those whom will never go there 😀
Great to see an Irish man doing so well in Japan 🍀🍀
So well explained ! Great video!
Absolutely love the Jegs hat.
For both these guys, I love how they support Grass Roots guys and really shine the light in prospects for people whole love Drifting for the pure driving and sport and try to allow people to get to experience that with pretty much the bread and butter seat time cars
Chump car endurance racing is pretty fun too with crazy amount of seat time. I think time attack is a very small part of the track racing world and not popular for some reason (boring).
The only other place comparing to Ebisu I know is the Nürburgring in Germany (but for roadracing, not drifting). It is just a fantastic atmosphere around that place. So many enthusiasts, so many cool cars and the driving is focused on fun rather than laptimes. You can literally take anything from a van to a supercar on the track. That's why I come back several times every year, hang out with friends, drive some laps, passenger some laps and have a really great time.
I also have tried normal trackdays, but they totally lack the atmosphere. Not half as much fun, which doesn't make it worth to spend so much money for me.
Great Vid Aaron, as always.
Ebisu is the Dream, along with drifting every day, one day!
Until then I'll continue to live that dream though guys like you 😊
Keep up the great work & videos (Lonestar & Japan)
👍👍👍👍👍
Lone star is the garyvee of drifting
Another solid breakdown AARON, very solid interview!
Can remember james from back in idc and prodrift days cool to see how someone with genuine interest can get so far with something they love 🇮🇪🇮🇪
Why don’t they like locked/welded diffs?
one thing goes through my mind throughout the whole hour watching this video: wisefab sponsored the workshop's steel beams 🤣🤣
Great video. Started it around 1 am thinking I'd watch some of it before bed and finish it tomorrow but nope…finished it tonight.
Nice video my guy. Much love from your boi
🇮🇪🇮🇪hon the boi's🇮🇪🇮🇪
The Smiles Per Gallon at Ebisu must be extremely high lol
This is such a good video, thank you guys for doing this
As a jzx100 owner in ireland I wouldn’t change anything about it.. pity there so expensive to import to ireland after buying the car and paying shipping+ 23% tax. You pay vrt (to get a plate) 6k euro and 1200 euro a year road tax.
Cheers man such a good vid a lot of handy info repect, are there heaps still to come out of Japan or will prices start jumping up to Gtr standerd
Ebisu doesn't deserve James, he's the best.
What clutch is in your jzx if you remember haha
Hahahaha “ a thousand and onthe” funny stuff guys!
James reminds me of Russell Brand too, cheers
are you gonna have a long japan vid this year aswell?
James Deene cousin?
James= cool guy
What is his home country?
Is he Irish? Definitely sounds like it
